Vinyasa & Vayus: A weekly Prana Vinyasa yoga class for lovers of Vinyasa

The Pancha Vayus are the five winds or currents of life-force energy in the body that facilitate the circulation of Prana throughout your entire being. During these weekly classes you will experience the Pancha Vayus through the Prana Vinyasa principals of pulsing, body and rhythmic vinyasas for a well rounded, intelligent and mindful practice.

Discover the strength of your inner rhythm through the pathways of energetic anatomy, progressive and fluid yoga sequences ranging from dynamic and restorative poses leaving you overflowing with sacred elixir of vitality, and embodied wisdom.

Each week Delamay will be sharing with you a variety of Elemental namaskars, peak poses and specific vinyasa to highlight the essence and movement of each Vayu and their role in embodiment. This may also includes practical applications, chanting, meditation and hands on assists.

Weekly Themes
17/12 Apana Vayu: Grounding and rooting down into your foundation. Cultivating steadiness and stability with a single pointed awareness without distraction to nourish your roots and to be fully present within your physical body. This slow moving full body exhalation provides a inner landscape for your hamstrings to lengthen, your hips to open and your mind to find clarity within the pulse of life.

07/01 Vyana Vayu: Expanding and opening from the centre into the periphery. Moving and flowing with the radiant, spontaneous qualities of expansion, your awareness travels through the joints, bones, ligaments and soft tissue. This continuous dance of breath and movement supports your physical and energetic body to open, freeing your entire skeletal system with a consistent flow of straight lines, curved movements and spirals around the midline as you unite with this inner and outer expansion.

14/01 Samana Vayu: Gathering inwards and awaken to your inner strength. Experience your inner power as a sustainable fortifying force that requires daily tending for continued health and longevity. This sacred coiling from outer to the inner core ignites and harnesses physical endurance while cultivating stamina throughout your entire being. This divine play of gathering in and leaning into your intelligent edge leaves you feeling empowered and connected.

21/01 Udana Vayu: Rising up and out as you open up to the infinite possibilities within your physical and energetic bodies. This rising, expansive, side waist lengthening and ecstatic back bending opening magnifies the heart from the inside, creating space for the spine to breath while awakening the instinctual body to arc in total freedom as it continues to rise up and out.

Prana Vayu: Prana Vayu is the all encompassing and all pervading movement of Prana that will be present and acknowledged throughout each week. There are two types of Prana Vayu which we will cover during our time together.

According to Ayurveda Tuesday is ruled by Mars energy making it a perfect day for moving in a clear focused and dynamic way. During these classes there will be an emphasis on moving mindfully and dynamically honouring our individual strength, flexibility and courage to embody this movement alchemy. Within Prana Vinyasa we work with Vinyasa Krama’s or different stanges of evolution within asana making these practices all inclusive and open to all levels of embodiment.

Using music as a guide and the breath as the teacher, Delamay invites you to show up as you are ready to enquire into your self and receive the medicine that only movement creates. Prana Vinyasa is an energetic, full spectrum approach to embodying the flow of yoga cultivated by Shiva Rea.

During this Capricorn Full Moon Eclipse Yoga, Movement and Meditation practice Delamay will offer a grounding but dynamic embodied ritual with astrology insight, insightful journalling questions and a group card reading followed by a dynamic/ solar prana vinyasa yoga practice with a foot massage before shavasana while being bathed in sublime sutra poetry.

After a super sensitive watery Cancerian New Moon this Capricorn Full Moon is guiding and anchoring us back into our physical body to release something from our lives, it could be something we have been holding on to that is now ready to be returned to the Earth as fertiliser and replaced with something new. What are you holding on to that you would like the illuminating light of this Full Moon to dissolve? It could be a habbitual pattern, an emotional trigger or a unhealthy mindset. Whatever it is you’ll know it deep inside.

Now is a perfect time to harness the power of this Eclipse and Full Moon energy because it gives you the strength to lay down your burdens and feel free of any weight that’s been pulling or slowing you down. JUL: Embodying the Flow Art of Namaskar YTT, Online

The state of namaskar is “to bow, to realize the essence,” and in this module we explore Foundational namaskars as the consummate vinyasa to enter the flow.

All Namaskars within the Prana Vinyasa® methodology follow an elemental template of five namaskars for each element, and each namaskar has a corresponding solar-lunar sequence.

The foundational theory of Namaskar offers an intelligent introduction to every solar-lunar sequence to prime the body for the elemental sequences in the following modules of the Foundation series.

Immerse in learning the Water prana vinyasa sequence, which awakens the fluid spine, front body, side-waist, shoulder and heart opening.
