Six simple steps to return back to yourself

In todays modern and busy world with a million distractions, all taking us further and further away from ourselves here is six simple steps to return you back to yourself.

For this super gentle and very accessible practice for all, you only need a moment or two. It can be done in the car, in the kitchen, in the elevator or even in the changing rooms! No props are needed, no special pass and no need to schedule in a specific time to log into Zoom. All you need is your two hands, your breath and yourself.

So when you’re ready, you can begin.

1. Gently place both hands on the energetic space of the heart in the centre of your chest.

2. Soften the backs of your eyes so your gaze turns inward.

3. Shift your awareness to the rising of the inhalation and the emptying out of the exhalation.

4. Notice where the breath travels too and lands in your body. This could be the upper chest, ribcage area or down into your belly.

5. Feel into your inner rhythm, your heart beat or pulse of life.

6. Whisper three words of gratitude to yourself for this day, this life and for this sustaining vital energy which flows through you.

You can stay here and continue for as long as you need to and know that you can return to this practice at anytime. Feel free to share this with anyone who you think would benefit from these easy six steps!
